Let me guess: there isn't one? Who has the rights?
Go to Criterion and ask them to work on Satyajit Ray films, a good Kwaidan rerelease.
Probably won't ever happen. Stupid government.

When I checked [Feb 2013], Amazon was offering a DVD that wasn't too expensive.
There also seem to be some bootleg DVDs, presumably transferred from the available VHS tape. The transfer quality is of course less than professional. And presumably there are several transfers each with their own different problems; this would for example explain the poor audio quality that seems to affect some but not others.
