The Communist song

I found the irony funny how you hear Cuiqiao singing the Communist song as she's swept away in the river. Communism was supposed to save the people, but did nothing for the village. In the end of the movie, we hear the song again as HanHan is swept away by all the people. facing a fate resembling that of his sister's. We also see the Communist soldier approaching but never arriving. Once again it's showing how Communism had done nothing for the people.
