tivo'd it...fun!!!!!!

I noticed it was on TCM the other night.

Considering what they usually show, it was an utterly bizarre movie selection for TCM.

reply

TCM's program director should be fired and be working as an attendant in a senior home for the elderly.
If you put me on ignore, then how can I notify you when I win the lottery?

reply

Sometimes, TCM slums it up with some grindhouse type selecitons. But there is no redeeeming value cultwise or otherwise with this wretched forgettable movie.

reply

I'm not watching it to know, but why is it on TCM??? As the poster above me said, this seems to have no cultural value. No A-list stars or production team, and not old enough to be a classic bad movie like Wild Guitar or anything Ed Wood.

reply

My online guide had "the candy snatchers" listed, until the movie was almost over, then went to "heavenly bodies". OOPS, what is going on at TCM, late night ?
Would much rather seen candy snatchers than a bad version of Flashdance or the Showtime Aerobicise !

reply

I know, i thought they were showing great director's first films, with Breathless, and Sugarland Express, Who's That Knockin' At My Door, and HEAVENLY BODIES...
wtf?

reply

yep I settled in for Candy Snatchers and got Heavenly Bodies shoved in my face....so far im digging it though (if I shelled out $5 at the theatre back in the day I might've felt differently)

they just need to add more music montages

reply

My online guide (Comcast) said it would be the Candy Snatchers when I setup my DVR to record. Even though I was disapointed that it wasn't the right movie showing. It was a nice suprise in the fact that I watched an 80's movie that I neever heard of seen before.

all the people saying shi# about this movie are so retarded. this is very intelligently made, original, and creative film. it also has so much ambition which all are attained. it achieved all it set out to do and actually achieved more than it set out to achieve. it was so good that I extremely doubt that flashdance could be as good or as entertaining as this film is.

this is a great film and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what great films are. the dancing, art direction, choreography, pacing, direction, characters, story, acting, music, the chemistry between the characters, the main actress's performance, everything is such high quality. this film is a winner. I would recommend this film to everyone and anyone.

they just showed it last night on TCM and wow, what a great film. man...I was just smiling and so happy watching this film last night. I just felt so wonderful and happy and excited and full of life. you see this film was made in the happy, happy go lucky, laid back, good feeling times of the '80s. I will go to my grave with this opinion which is that the '80s is the best decade for film that there ever has been and ever will be.

movies back then always make me feel so good and happy and always bring me back to when I was a little, little kid. this is one of the most good feeling, pick you up films that has ever been made. the '80s were such an innocent, fun, funny, laid back, no stress, slow moving, friendly, dancing, singing, nothing is wrong with your life, or the world decade which really comes out in the '80s films more than any other medium.

everything about this film takes me back in such a personal and precise way to when I was 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 years old. the music, dancing, styles of dressing, the characters which are so typical '80s characters, the business world, everything is perfectly made and if you grew up in the '80s you have to love this film for at the very least how it brings you back to when you had the best moments and experiences of your life. this might be the most legendary, the epitome of '80s clichés and things, and the ultimate '80s film.

also this film has a lot of heart and good will. the main character Samantha is as pure and innocent as white snow. she exudes so much good will and heart and love and such a lovable charm, grace, class, and effervescence and charisma that she wins you over in her very first scene.
