Every once in awhile I check Amazon to see if it's available on DVD, and I'm always taunted by its unavailability and the availabilty of that stupid comedy with the same title starring Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt. I don't know if this film is being suppressed BECAUSE of the other one or what, but it definitely deserves a nicely produced commercial DVD. I particularly like Nick Mancuso and Max Gail in it.

I just saw this on TV today & loved it! I was surprised w/ Coyote, never saw him like that before! Love the dynamic between the best friends - Coyote & Mancuso, very rare do you see a love story between male friends.

It is a very interesting and well-done film. Off-beat, and Coyote has always been an excellent actor.
I knew the painter whose life it was based on. Nice guy. Died too young of a brain tumor.

Saw this today for the first time, not knowing what it was, and really enjoyed it. I went in thinking it was going to be a comedy.. Great look at male friendships and the jealousies and insecurities that can come out.
The character Cyd, played by Kathryn Harrold - the whole time I was watching the movie I thought that was Kelly McGillis.
