Get it up?

What did the criminal mean by telling Martin Sheen to get it up. Did he want to blow him? lol

I came to imdb to look this up exactly. As a kid when i saw that movie I was confused by this scene and just assumed I would understand when I got older. Nope! I still have no idea why a bunch of murdering thugs wanted Martin Sheen aroused.

I saw this as a kid, too. I remember Martin Sheen breaking down crying, responding, "I can't!" Recalling that scene gives me the creeps more now than it did then. Luckily, he is saved by Louis Gossett Jr., but If I were Sheen, I would have avoided this role like the plague.

The punk wanted Martin Sheen to get his (the punks) manhood up. "Get it up" because he was most likely would not have been aroused but did want to humiliate him as stated above

Sheen is a brave actor to have undertaken such a role. You can't help but respect him even more for having accepted it. And he did a great, honest, heartbreaking job.

Sheen's awesome.
