I'd like to commend John Scott for the work he did on the score. After all these years, it still has the power to give me goosebumps. My favourite piece in particular is the panther attack scene.
I've been trying to track down the cd for the movie, but it's unfortunately unavailable.
I hope you appreciate that the orchestral music which accompanies particularly views of the Greystoke estate is from the "andante, nobilmente e semplice" first part of the first movement of Elgar's first symphony. This is the music designed to bring on goosebumps or lumps in the throat and so on.

Although I love the whole score...there is a one "song" that eludes me & plays in my head incessantly. Could someone please help? In the scene(s) where D'Arnot realizes that John is a an excellent mimic, he da da da's a tune, to which John mimics. They do this three or four times (same tune). Anyone?

i noticed the piece of music which i really like in the film ( scene where tarzan is younger and his monkey mate is killed by panther and tarzan swims away to his mum) isnt on the soundtrack :( dissapointed on that one
