Alright, I know that the film has questionable flaws.

How are they not able to multiply when standing on snow and drinking beer (Are they multiplying off screen?)

If light hurts them, then how are they able to go into Nightclubs, smoke cigarettes, and other lit rooms? Anyone, please?

I enjoy the film a lot, but I'd like to receive some answers.

In the book, Billy questions why Gizmo can walk through the snow and not multiply, he figures it has something to do with the water being frozen and therefore can't effect him, the temperature's too low. Beer? Good question, unless maybe it has to be pure water.

Beer is an alcoholic beverage. That's why they can't multiply when they drink it.
