Unfortunately, this turned out to be a bootleg and Toho's lawyers shut it down. But from the C&D letter Toho's lawyer left on the site, it sounds like they're getting ready to finally consider making this film available for Western distribution.

I hope that whoever gets the rights gives it a proper release. I'd like a set which includes the original Japanese Cut and the 1985 US version of the film.
Turns out they were being serious about making it happen: http://www.fandompost.com/2016/05/19/kraken-releasing-acquires-the-return-of-godzilla/ Looks like Kraken Releasing (who released the new DVDs and Blu-rays for Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, Godzilla vs. Hedorah and Godzilla vs. Gigan back in 2014) will be doing the release. It sounds like they are including the original Japanese cut and the international English dub (never before released in North America) but not Godzilla 1985, probably because it's still tied up in rights issues.
shareI'm more than okay with no US version. To this day that's the only version of this film I ever saw(On VHS) but ultimately that is not the 'true' vision of the film.
It would be a REALLY cool bonus feature, but getting the original version is far far more important. They are even throwing in the international dub for good measure, which is awesome.
