I was about 7 when I saw it in theaters. I cried most of the way home!

I was 31 or 32 - I've loved Godzilla movies all my life.

I did, I was 12 at the time. For some reason the sound was missing for the first half or perhaps the first thirty minutes of the movie. I even complained to the staff, but they didn't offer to do anything about it. That was pretty annoying and so was all Dr. Pepper product placing. Otherwise I loved the movie...

I never did see it in theaters but still have the original ads and Ebert's review that I clipped from the newspapers back in the day. This movie came out on Video pretty fast, it came out in theaters on August 25, 1985? Almost two weeks later, I remember coming home from the first day of school to find the VHS sitting on the counter. My dad had rented it that day.

Canadian theatres, but, yes, I had the joy of seeing this on the big screen when I was 14.

Same here, same age, and I cried at the end.

Nope, saw it several months after it was released to U.S. theaters on New World Video's VHS copy.

I saw it in the theater first day, first showing.

I was amazed at the fact that I was actually going to see an Godzilla movie at the theater. I was more amazed that they actually attached Bambi Meets Godzilla to the print and played it before Godzilla 1985, but that's beside the point.

But seeing the film at that theater would be one of the final visits to that theater, under the management at that time, as that theater closed 9 months later. The theater has since reopened.
