Frankenstein TV Movie

This is question for anyone who knows the answer. There was a Frankenstein movie ,I believe it was a TV movie where in one scene the creature goes to a ball in progress and encounters a female creature(bride?) and tears her head off in front of the guests who are horrified. The creator then grabs her head and begins weeping incredibly as Frankenstein leaves. My question; Is this the movie (1984 picture) or is it a picture with Jennifer Beals and Sting called 'The Bride' or is it another Frankenstein movie. Anyone with the answer please email at [email protected]. Thank you.

Yep that is Frankenstein The True Story. The one starring Jennifer Beals is a remake of Bride Of Frankenstein simply called The Bride. The later film, however, has Dr. Frankenstein as a bachelor who steals is female creation away from his original monster. Funny thing about that one is, Frankenstein's first name is Charles and is both a Baron and a Doctor. The monster is nameless until he meets a dwarf he befriends. The dwarf names him Victor spelt as Viktor meaning the man who wins. In the novel Victor is the creator's first name. Also Frankenstein never is in love with anyone else in that film, but the female monster he names Eva. In the original story Frankenstein actually has his own woman named Elizabeth Lavenza. Also Frankenstein's best friend Henry Clerval is called William Clerval in the Bride.

I am a Frankenstein fanatic, and only found this film while looking up Carrie Fisher's filmography!!!

There are several worthwhile adaptations... Frankenstein:The True Story, with Michael Sarazin is good but the two best ones, as far as I am concerned, and both were also TV films are: the one staring Patrick Bergen as Victor and Randy Quaid as the Creature and the very best is with Luke Goss as the Creature.. both of those versions are very close to the novel.

There is a version that Roger Corman directed with Raul Julia and John Hurt that is also very good.

the ONLY thing good about "The Bride" is Clancy Brown as the Creature!!!
