Alphaville

I'm a big fan of Lars Von Trier (Dogville, Dancer in the Dark, Europa / Zentropa, Anti Christ) so I had to come to his debut eventually. It's interesting for starters it's an English-language debut. Visually striking and very reminiscent of Godard's Alphaville. I see it pretty much as Alphaville with the Von Trier paintbrush.

Not sure, how hung up I'll be to see it again but can't say it was disappointing.
