Pac Man sound

About 13 minutes into the movie. The night life part where the kids are all hanging out, the music starts and people began dancing and they're all excited about the night.
John Lithgow comes in on the scene and turns the music off on the boom box and everything comes to a screeching halt. The camera scans to all the scenes including the kid on the arcade game. You can hear the sound of Pacman when he loses a life. It all happens so very quickly within a few seconds but I caught the sound effect.
I thought it was a good scene and the timing of the Pacman "life lost" sound effect and the music stopping simultaneously and the bad vibe Lithgow created was symbolic.
Did anyone else pick up on the Pacman sound effect.

Yep. You hear the 'wacca wacca' sound of Pacman being played a few times during the montage also before the music and dancing stops.

Exactly - I'm glad others pick up on this.

Funny and good thinking whoever thought to do that.
