Why was it not released on DVD?

I remember seeing this movie on TV in the 1980s. I believe it was a made for TV movie. I thought it was a well done movie and don't understand why it has never been released on DVD. I have heard it came out on VHS but as far as I know, it never came out by a well known movie studio and may be just VHS booklets for for sale somewhere. I would even settle for it being on TV and can record it. Its one of these good movies that have somehow been missed when a lot of junky movies are on DVD ages ago. From what I remember, the movie was a true story and very well done with good acting. Oh well, hope to see it on DVD sometime.

I just got it off Ebay for $30. Watching it now. Bit dated and effects are below par. I remember that then.

It showed Prisilla as being rescued before Nikki. I thought Prisilla was the last rescue.

I got it on DVD from www.ioffer.com

Its a clear copy. Good movie overall. Though it is sad :(
The scene that shocked me the most was when they pulled up real close behind another plane. Thinking it would melt the ice off the wings. Just very dreaded scene because they were sealing their doom.

That scene was an example of how Larry Wheaton was a thoroughly incompetent pilot who had no business flying a commercial airliner. He disregarded a number of safety procedures of which that was one of many. Joe Stiley himself said it best when he said in a documentary that the people on that flight died entirely due to Wheaton's incompetence.

Part of that was Air Florida's fault. They rushed him through training which he spent most of his time as a first officer on DC10s rather then 737s. The first officer should have spoken up more he sensed there was a problem with the engines and tried to convince Wheten ,but he really didn't suggest they should have aborted the takeoff.

Thanks for the information you posted on IMDB about "Flight 90". I haven't been on IMDB for a long time, but my name was still there to forward any emails I had commented on no matter how long before.I don't go on YouTube very often, and didn't think Flight 90 movie would be there. I will check it out on Youtube. I saw Flight 90 on TV years ago but never saw it again. It was a very good movie. Thanks again.
