Dear Joe Don,
My name is Tom and I work at the McDonalds you visited last Friday. I regret to say that the check you paid with bounced. When you come to McDonalds for your lunch today please pay the amount for the check $466.67, plus the $20 fee for a bounced check. There is some good news though, I talked to upper management and because of the sheer amount of money you have spent at McDonalds you have a 37% share in the company. Maybe some of your dividends can go towards Friday's lunch bill. Thanks and see you at lunch!

When he gave you the check, I'm sure he gave you his word as an American officer that it was good. He's obviously a Texas Lawman, so that promise meant nothing. Joe Don's been using that scheme to get out of paying dinner bills for years.
