83 min is uncut and there is an 88 min version too.

Uncut version is shorter than the cut version? WTF?!!!

The film runs 88 minutes. 87:21, to be precise. Ignore the garbage in the "Alternate Versions" section. That was submitted by an uninformed idiot. It doesn't even run 83 with PAL speedup.

In the U.K, 30 seconds were trimmed for the theatrical release, dropping the runtime to 87 minutes. I highly doubt it was ever cut in the U.S. - except for the poor removal of "The Killing Touch" title card - as it was neither rated by the MPAA nor released theatrically.

As someone mentioned in another post the uncut version is on YouTube.

I forget where I read about the cuts but I know one involves the nude black woman running down the school halls trying to get away from the killer. She opens a door and the killer impales her with the javelin. In the uncut version you see her stagger for a couple of seconds before she falls to the floor. In the cut version after she is impaled there is a cut to the killers face (well, mask to be exact) then it cuts back to where she is already on the floor. What is so bad about those 2 seconds that it needed to be censored?

I abhor censorship. As an adult I believe *I* have the right to decide what I want to watch and what I don't as opposed to being subjected to someone else's whim. But that is for another discussion.

As for this movie the idea of a javelin as the murder weapon was different and interesting although it became repetitive. I'd like this movie to get some BR love as long as it's the uncut version.

Long live the 70's!
