Anyone know where I cna find the long unrated version?

I have heard the DVD is the edited R rated version. I recently bought a used VHS and it too was the edited version. Is the longer cut (with the 13 missing minutes) out there somewhere? I remember that version very well from the late night runs on Showtime in the late 80s.

Yes. The UK sells the 93 minute unrated version. I bought it from Amazon UK here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fanny-Hill/dp/B000BH2TH4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1201059927&sr=1-2

It says it is Region 2, but it's actually Region 0 so it will play everywhere. It's PAL obviously (not NTSC). So if you're in the U.S. like me and this is a problem, you'll have to watch it on your computer or use a program to convert it to NTSC, then burn a copy to watch it on TV.

It's a much better transfer than the U.S. R-rated version. I also noticed during the closing credits it switches to a 16:9 image that has more picture on the sides than the American fullscreen. So apparently, 4:3 is not its OAR. However, I wouldn't exactly hold my breath for a widescreen release of this, since its been 25 years and there still isn't even a proper unrated NTSC version on DVD, VHS, LD, etc. My only other copy of the unrated version was recorded off cable years ago.

This was one of my favorites on Friday night Cinemax during the 80s, and was the only one left that I needed to find on DVD. Glad I finally got it!

Is the German DVD also the unrated long version? It says 95 minutes long. I would prefer to buy that instead of the UK because the German disc is in widescreen. Please help.

I just looked at the UK site; it says that the version you refer to has a run time of 87 minutes.

Actually the run time of the R rated cut broadcast on Cinemax a few years
ago was 90 minutes (I have a recording of that one in front of me). The UK version does not appear to be as complete.

The Amazon listings for the US R Rated disc and the German edition both say run time of 90 minutes (1:30)

I don't know where IMDB got the 1:38 figure for the original release which is reported in the heading for the IMDB page for this title but it may be as spurious as the 1:20 (80 minutes) reported for the R rated version.

Pretty sure the Cinemax version was the unedited version.
