that Frances Conrad, the Mother in Six Feet Under, has a small part as a waitress in the beginning where Harvey tells Robert that he is getting a divorce? Her one good line to Robert regarding his beer order is "give me a break"

Yes, I did notice her. She has quite distinct features and was very young at the time. I think she's a very good actress.

Man, I feel so awful for not having recognized her. I just watched the scene again, she looks so different! Her hair! But her voice was exactly the same then.

Wow. GOOD eye! I would never have recognized her - especially not in such a short scene. I had to go back and watch again b/c I couldn't believe I missed her! LOL

I have just watched this movie for the umpteenth time, and yes, THIS time around I did recognize her - then came here on IMDB and found your post :-)
