the eyes say it all

wow.
I just watched this movie for the first time and agree with alot of comments on the board about the chemistry between the characters despite what some feel is an unlikely pairing, the fumbling for words at times on her end, the sexiness of De Niro and the overall realism of the story. when your heart is calling for someone, the need to answer can be overwhelming when its reciprocated.
i think what makes dinero so appealing and convincing is definitely the way he looks at her or how he looks when he is thinking about her. his eyes definitely say it all. hers too. the scene when she is waiting for him to show up at the train and how her facial expression goes from doubt, to disappointment to elation is what makes an actor great. same for De Niro. the the range of emotions played out in his face in the train scene is so powerful when he is late and thinks she has left only to hear his name called. those eyes say more than words ever could.

I agree. There chemistry was really good.

Agreed. I remember the very last scene when we catches up to her on the train. Look at her eyes when the film goes to freeze frame. She loves him. My guess is that they were together after that.
