I could answer this question by watching the movie again, but . . .
Why do I remember Christopher Penn having a one-scene role in this movie? My (vague) memory is that he played Daulton's brother, who was in prison. Chris is not credited, so I'm suspecting maybe I've got this all wrong.
I don't know. But yesterday, it appears that Mr. Chris Penn passed on to a better place in this world we call heaven and earth. Don't know why, don't know how - but from his photos, and from the little I know of his family he looks like a real "sweet-heart". GOD BLESS Chris and his family. The Lord only knows why we come and go as we do, but he seems to have touched many a life with his talents. It's just a shame that we don't know to appreciate people the time we share on earth more than we do. All I can do is pray that the hurt and grief the Penn family must be feeling right now is comforted by the fact that their son and brother contributed alot to this world and made the world a happier place by sharing his talents and gifts with all of us. Chris Penn is not in this moive. Daulton does have a younger brother in this movie but he's not in jail. Daulton's brother was played by Chris Makepiece, who was the star of MY BODYGUARD.

Kinda' weird, that Chris was so much on my mind all of a sudden and then I heard the news he'd died. (Maybe not so weird, eh?) . . . Anyway, I'm sorry he'll not be around anymore. . . . I think it's time to watch "Short Cuts" again.

You might be thinking of "At Close Range". Chris played Sean's younger brother in that movie.
