Do these count as part of the anthology film series?

It feels like they should count as part of the Star Wars spin off series, but I haven't seen anything that confirms this.

Do we think Lucasfilm would rather forget them, or could they be released on Blu Ray in the future?

I think I read that Lucas actually made this movie (and Battle For Endor) for his infant daughter to watch.
