Was there an official dvd release in the usa

i have seen the dvd on amazon but i dont knoiw if it is the official release or just a copy from vhs

Nope. The UK DVD might be legit, and I have an "Asian import" that is apparently sourced from the Laserdisc, but I have yet to see a bona fide DVD release.

The UK DVD is an official release, and it's flawless.

Well, I have heard that it is missing the Virgin logo at the beginning (would be the MGM logo for us Yanks), and it's getting harder to find a player that will play PAL discs, but I will have to order that soon.
