So the fact that the train conductor at the end is the same as the one who was in the dream where they become sexual on a train means what? Are they saying they are in a dream at the end?

Have you not ever dreamed something, then a certain moment or vision happens in real life and you are like, whoa! That is all it was meant to be, nothing more. Sometimes our minds are strange like that.

No, not like that. they encountered the man as a conductor on a train in a shared dream. then they both encountered the exact same man on a train as a conductor later on. that is totally different than what you are describing.

I think it was just a bit of fun put in at the end of the movie to make it more interesting. Can be interpreted either way.

Imagine if the conductor then turned into the snake man thing...!
