Why is it called 'Def-Con 4'?


Shouldn't it be called Def-Con 1? That would seem to make more sense. Maybe it was because of that little stunt David Lightman pulled back in '83.

I think maybe because, after the war(post-apocalypse,) the defense conditions are reset, during the aftermath.

Why does it have a futuristic armor-suited skeleton buried in a snow-covered landscape on the cover?

Sense, continuity, and logic: three things not involved with making this movie.

Funny you should mention David Lightman because Maury Chaykin, who played Vinny in this movie, was also in Wargames.
