Attention 80s fantasy afictionados...

I'm looking for a pair of movies I loved when I was a kid. I don't know their names, but I do know a few details about them and that they were made some time in the 80s or possibly very early 90s.

The first movie is very hazey in my memory. All I remember about it was that the villain had a ridiculously long, serated sword. And I mean SERIOUSLY long. I think the main character might have been a young boy as well, but I can't confirm that.

The second movie I remember a bit more. The plot involved a warrior trying to get his sword back from a goblin/troll creature who raped his mother and claimed the sword for his own. He comes back years later and kills the goblin/troll thing. His mother is still young looking, but it's just an illusion or spell and she's really a old hag underneath.

Anyways, that's all I know. I know it isn't much, but if someone can help me, I'd be very happy.
