I'm confused about the title of this movie

I remember this movie title as "China Blue" period. No "crimes of passion" or other name. I remember advertising leading up to it's release as China Blue starring Kathleen Turner and pictures of her with wig and skimpy dress. I have several catalog books several years old that I have not been able to find this movie listed. I began to question my memory of the title. Just today I see that it may have been listed differently. What was the original title, anyone know?

I became interested in KT as an actress from "Body Heat". She was so haughty and cool in her bearing. Also smart and sexy. This was unusual for a female actor. So I was watching for a new movie for her and was shocked, not unpleasantly, with China Blue. Actually, now I don't remember the story line. Sorry that her health took a dive and even changed the way she looked.

I saw it back in 1986 and it was titled Ken Russell's Crimes of Passion".

I remember before it was released, and it was called China Blue. Possibly that was a working title that stuck? A huge fan of Perkins, back then I was inclined to the opinion it would be epic crap. Today I don't remember why, but there you go. I was actually just looking through TP's filmography for something to possibly watch, and was looking for the film I deliberately skipped with Blue in the title.

If my 2,000 year-old memory serves me correctly, I think I remember an interview Perkins gave on Letterman way back then before this was released. Yep, pretty sure that really happened.

Any chance you are from a non-English country?

In French it's called "Les jours et les nuits de China Blue". I saw it as a teenager in the '80s and we would refer to this movie as only "China Blue".

A quick google search for ~"china blue" movie poster~ confirms it was titled "China Blue" or "blah blah blah China Blue" in Europe and other various non-US regions. I still have an old magazine published here in the US with a preview article about "Crimes of Passion."
