New 4k bluray of an extended version of 'The Cotton Club' is in works!

Yay! A new 4k bluray of an extended version of 'The Cotton Club' is in works! It will be over 20 minutes longer and is being overseen by Francis Ford Coppola. The additional scenes are many extra performances cut from the film as well as more scenes with Fred Gwynne, Bob Hoskins, Diane Lane, Richard Gere and Gregory Hines. Yay!!!

That is wonderful news. I remember reading in 1984 that a three hour rough cut was shown to exhibitors and they encouraged Francis Ford Coppola to make it as long as he wanted. I hope that will be the case here.
