Where they different that the queens people. They wanted the girlto awaken and control daggoth. Was this a second group who had the horn but not the staue?
shareLikely just some fundamentalist "cult" of Dagoth worshipers who had their own agenda. I agree it would have been nice to have known what exactly happened with their history. Perhaps, Taramis or her predecessors invaded and conquered their village or whatever and stole the statue; I have my doubts the statue originated in Shadizar. In a REH story, we'd certainly get all the juicy details such as this; however, book Taramis (from "A Witch Shall Be Born") to movie Taramis are similar basically in name only.
It would have been to nice to have a scene in which it showed the Keepers of the Horn had a spy in Taramis' court thus giving their sudden appearance a little more credence. It would have even been cool to have seen their current living conditions in a scene in which the spy reveals the plan to the wizard, too. As it stands, they are kind of just generic/cookie-cutter baddies (and a major sausage fest to boot!).
