IMDb has her D.O.B as 22nd April 1972 (wikipedia has it circa. 1970), the film was first screened in September 1984 so it's likely she was only 11 at the time of filming if IMDb is correct.

She looked older and gave quite an assured performance. One of the better child acting performances to come to mind.
