Question about dubbing

The princesses in the movie are both married to Cheech and Chong in real life.

One of them had sort of a germanish accent in the movie, but it was clearly dubbed in. Does anyone know why they dubbed over her?

They divorced in the same year this was released, which may have had something to do with it.
