I Can't Remember...

Didn't Barbara Eden and her husband wear a lot of Lavender in this movie?
Why was that?
It seemed like somebody slipped him some laxitives in his soup or something too. Am I right?

George Kennedy wore the lavender suit in the movie. He wasn't married to Barbara Eden's character though. Yes, someone slipped him a major amount of laxative in his soup. It was a cute movie and wish they would release it on DVD. Not great, but not horrible either.

I agree; this should be on DVD.

As I recall, Levender was the main color of the football team in the movie. The players and cheerleaders uniforms were dominated by it and the cheerleaders bras and panties were also that color.

I think they picked Lavender for the team color to make it funny. I thought is was a nice touch to have the cheerleaders strip down and their bra nad panties were indeed lavender. Candi & Randi Brough looked nice in their underwear. I wish the scene had lasted longer.

As I recall (used to watch this movie all the time but haven't seen it in probably 20 years) they actually talked about it in the beginning. When Barbara Eden's character is doing narration she simply said 'Bert has this thing about lavender'. Never really explained any farther, it's just something he likes, a lot. I'll bet most of that movie was way over my head when I was 10. I'd love to see it again. Probably very different from what I remember.

Probably because George Kennedy owned the team, and he likes lavender.
