Movie in Tucson

I just finished reading Hal Needhams book, STUNTMAN. He had an interesting life but I was very disappointed when it came to talking about CANNONBALL RUN 11. He said most everything was filmed in Las Vegas and that is not true. My name is Jack Young and I was the Location Manager on that movie. He spoke of the shot where the airplane touched down on a regular road and the Mitsubishi came out of the back, spun around and took off. He said it was filmed two blocks from the LV Strip. Not so....we filmed that scene on S. Palo Verde close to the Holiday inn. The actors were Richard Kiel and Jackie Chan. Too bad he didn't give our city is due credit.
