Is there anywhere (any region code) to get this on DVD in widescreen? What ratio was it shown at the theater?

I am pretty sure that the DVD is just Open Matte, so you are not really missing anything. Just not faithful to the Original theatrical showing though.

The Blu-ray version is widescreen and I've seen it turn up regularly on British TV in 1.85:1.

Does the Blu-ray have true widescreen or is it just the 1.33 cropped to the 1.85 ratio?
