Classics from a black perspective

I feel that I genuinely miss out on the gems by black directors and/or movies with a black cast. Can somebody name movies like ´´The Brother from Another Planet´´ who are from the perspective of black people? I´ve already seen the magnificent show The Wire and most of the movies by Spike Lee.
