I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie it is so sensual, the cinematography is fabulous, and Bo Derek eXtremely seXy! I think this is a MUST-SEE. People seem to over look it because it is too erotic. but sex is a natural part of life like everything else. The final scene WAS simulated (for anyone who read the trivia section). But I'm going to go about my business and think about Ms. Derek so she can give me an adventure in eXtasy!!!!

I totally agree with you! Bolero is a fun, sexy adventure, beautifully filmed, with a gorgeous film score. A movie about a rich and beautiful American Heiress in the 1920's traveling to the Sahara to lose her virginity to a sheik!!
How could it fail? This is great escapist entertainment, and those erotic scenes were pretty mindblowing... I am glad I am not the only fan of this film.
i've always loved this movie, since first seeing it sneakily late at night when i was probably about 10. the imagery and feel of it really made an impression, also the fashion! sure, there are some dodgy parts, but i can totally overlook them for the epic fantasy scenes in exotic lands. bo's character was living the carefree life i imagined i wanted. the sheik should have been an omar sharif lookalike though.
