Didn't get this at all but understood the intent

Caught this late last night at 12am. I didn't care much for this movie, couldn't stand the Frankie Goes to Hollywood music video. Too much juxtaposition made this confusing. Although this was made such a long time ago that at the time it probably was revolutionary. Now there have been so many clones of this type of genre/plot I guess I've been subdued. The acting was good but was too odd. I guess DePalma did a lot of this in the 80s after Scarface.

I saw this in the theatre when it came out and LOVED the Frankie Goes To Hollywood bit.

I had already heard the song many times on the radio and had no idea it would be in the film. Was a pleasant audio surprise in a bizarre film I was already enjoying.
