Blu-ray review for 'Body Double'

It was great fun to watch this film again and see why this is a favorite guilty pleasure. Some would dismiss this movie as smut, but it is far more than that.

The video and audio is top-notch as Twilight Time has shown careful attention to detail here. The only new extra is the Isolated Score, and the four featurettes come from the older Special Edition DVD.

I got mine the other day and watched it last night. Definitely top notch quality. The music during the erotic dance sequence sounds amazing. Rich deep bass.

Definitely a keeper.

Watched mine last night, as well... it looked faultless to my eyes! Natural grain structure was intact and the colors didn't seem as though they were boosted... just very natural to the colour palette of the time. Very happy with this purchase.

IS THIS SOMETHING YOU CAN SHARE WITH THE REST OF US, AMAZING LARRY?!?!

Excellent transfer with great audio.

As soon as I knew the club scene was coming up I cranked the volume up for Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. That whole scene is awesome!

I miss when films were made like this!

Thee Blu Ray transfer actually made me appreciate this movie again. It should only be watched on Blu Ray with a good sound system The colors were bright and vivid and the sound, especially during the Frankie Goes To Hollywood scene, is great with deep bass. Great movie that was meant to be seen in a movie theater but this is the next best thing.

I went online to buy it and they're all expensive, some that cost a hundred plus bucks!

Y'know, I could eat a peach for hours

Twilight Time is infamous for their limited releases. I think I saw Fright Night (80's version) for over 300 bucks just because most Twilight Time releases are very, very small. Body Double is no exception

Umbrella Entertainment recently released this movie on BluRay (Region B).

I wonder if anyone has seen it yet, as to how is the quality compared to the TT release? Thanks!

reply

Region B doesn't do much for people living in the U.S. - the Twilight Time release is excellent, I've never seen the Euro blu-ray quality, but I do know the U.S. TT one is a pretty decent transfer. And it has an option for isolated audio I know the Euro release doesn't have. It also has some bonus features. Craig Wasson rules!

New to imdb here. Getting hooked on reviewing my favorite films, especially old ones. Was just watching this movie last night on cable hadn't seen it in years. But everytime I listen to the song "Relax" it takes me right back to this movie. I hear you on the guilty pleasure this movie always did something for me in that sense when I'd watch it at age 15 lol
