I didn't realize until I read after that that Visser had took Abby's gun. It completely changes the way you watch the rest of the movie.

SPOILERS!
-- We see Abby check for bullets in her purse: she has just three.
-- Visser uses the first bullet on Marty.
-- Ray fires the second by accidentally kicking it.
-- Marty pulls the trigger 3 times at Ray before being buried alive, none of the chambers containing a bullet.
-- For those counting along, that leaves 1 bullet and 1 chamber. Abby has no way of knowing this, so her pulling the trigger on Visser, well, lets just say that it's her lucky bullet!

Her lucky magic bullet, because the box of cartridges she opened near the beginning of the movie was blanks. Not only that, the the three cartridges shown in the cylinder all had their primers already dented, meaning they had already been fired.
