Original version vs. 2003 Director's Cut

Besides the inclusion of extras on the DVD, does anyone know what the differences between the two versions of the actual FILM are?

Thanks.

Well, there's more Kirstie Alley nudity. Don't know about anything else.

Which versions of the the *actual* FILM do you mean? The cable broadcast version, the theatrical version, or something else vs. the DVD?

From the comments that appear as reviews, it seems the DVD is something of a pan-and-scan that cuts from the top and/or bottom to 'stretch' the film to look like some form of widescreen.
The movie BEST FRIENDS with Burt Reynolds and Goldie Hawn did that too. The cable version had apparently been the "original" version, and the DVD(s) version(s) have been edited to remove most of Ms. Hawn's toplessness. The full frame VHS BEST FRIENDS was also 'trimmed'.

At one point there were a number of movies on DVD that allowed R/Unrated and FULL/WIDESCREEN versions that can be selected in the DVD menu before playing the movie. Those two options allow for FOUR VERSIONS of the movie, and to see everything, you actually need to view all four versions!! However, you could see all of the original material, just not at the same time...

Be warned:
While the new versions of movies on DVD are set up for anamorphic widescreen and maybe better sound, they DO lose some of the original screen image in making the widescreen version DVDs from fullframe movies, and some widescreen versions.
