Saw this in theaters on a 35 mm print yesterday.

But for some reason the print had a few missing segments. Specifically about 3 minutes, starting from the part where Taggart gets the shotguns from his car outside Maitland's house. That was kind of weird. Also some random jumps throughout, but that was the most glaring.

Was it a noticeable edit, like you could tell the scenes were missing, or were they just not there? Having never seen a theatrical cut of the movie, just VHS, DVD and TV airings, I can't be certain those scenes were actually in the theatrical release. There are many films that add scenes later on that weren't originally shown, maybe these scenes were some of those.

Just saw this message, don't come here too often. It was noticeable as in, the part was cut out/missing. Since I had seen the movie so many times, and it was definitely in the original movie. I feel it would be noticeable to a regular audience member as well, since at first, Taggart and Rosewood are outside the compound, and then immediately later they're in the middle of a shootout with Axel.
