Were all women unattractive in the 80's?

I can think of only one attractive woman in movies in the 80's and that's Bo Derek. She's still hot by today's standards. For some reason women in movies stopped being attractive sometime in the 50's and were back in mid 90's. The era in between was filled with nothing but trash. The men weren't exactly stud material either but far higher grade than the women. Ughh...

Completely disagree with you. I think movie stars from the early 30s-60s were extremely attractive (especially the actress), just as the ones in 70s and 80s. It's probably a perception thing.

They were natural back then 😂

You'd be surprised to know a few movie stars did have plastic surgery in those days. But, I don't think they had as extensive surgeries and procedures as they do, now.

De gustibus non disputandem est, mate.

Tawny Kitaen was a stone fox in the 80s. And generally, I think women got better-looking, because of the fitness craze and the concept of the hard body. In the 50s, a curvier look was more widely accepted. I think I prefer the hard body, but I don't mean the waif look, or an anorexic look, but a healthy, athletic look.

I also like the style the came about at the end of the 70s and was carried forward in the early 80s, thrift store chic, if you will. It was a direct rebellion against the polyester style of the 70s, favored by the disco scene, and it corresponded to the changes in music, with the influence of punk and new wave. You can see elements of 50s styles in both clothing and music, especially in new wave, with a return to rock 'n' roll roots like rockabilly (think Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, the Stray Cats). And it all have shifted or evolved away again by the mid-80s, into styles we would think of today as 90s.

Has to be your perception or maybe get your eyes/glasses checked?

Sorry, but Bo Derek was ugly as hell. But again, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder and it takes all kinds of people to make the world go 'round.

I actually grew up during the 80's and never got the popularity of "10" at the time. Even now, I still don't get it and absolutely nobody I knew growing up at that time thought anything of her at all.
