Forget a Daniel Radcliffe Remake, Turn Another Country into a TV Series

Can anyone else see Another Country as a TV Series? I am not saying it should be or could be a 7 year, 23 episode per year enterprise. But I think if you had a good writer to beef up the the script, it could make a nice and interesting series for the upper channels, that would have perhaps ten episodes per season and run for a span of four to five years. Channels like Showtime, HBO and Starz have done very little programing oriented towards teen/young adult viewership. And this would be a good start.

I could see the show starting during Judd and Bennett's third year, Barclay and Fowler's fourth, and continuing one year past where the play and movie ended. If I remember things correctly from the play there were a succession of bad house head regimes, while Fowler and Barclay were juniors, which caused Barclay to be so lenient when he became head and which subsequently caused Fowler to favor corporeal punishment when he became a prefect. This might be a interesting storyline.

However, if they would make this into a series, they would have to include female characters into the mix somehow. If they made this series, the viewership would undoubtedly be female, and female viewers would like to see the occasional female character.
