Another Country - Choral music

During a scene in the chapel a piece of chorul music is heard from the choir. Any ideas of the name and composer. It sounds traditional.

Dear Doris
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply to my query. I was involved in the marketing of 'Another Country' (at the advertising agency) and had always wondered about the score. I did try to contact the composer Michael Storey originlly.
Thank you so much again for your research.
All best wishes
Mike

Thanks for a film that for me is still as powerful as when I first saw it.
The music was awesom as wher I went to school we sang similar hymns in assembly/chapel.
The opening scenes with I vow to thee was very evocative to listen to.

There's one scene in which the choir is singing "I Was Glad When They Said Unto Me" by C. Hubert H. Parry, which can be heard (almost) in its entirety in the movie "The Prince and the Showgirl."

I'm quite sure that music in this song is based on some fragment of "The Planets" by Gustav Holst. Not lyrics, though.

I Vow to Thee, My Country is a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice set to music by Gustav Holst. He adapted the music from the middle section of Jupiter from his suite The Planets in 1921. It's named Thaxtedafter the English village where he lived much of his life. The hymn became a common element at Armistice memorial ceremonies.
