You know who's a "hard rockin' scientist" in real life?

Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen, that's who!

Yup, when he's not playing with the band, he's a PhD in Astrophysics, a published scientist, and a former chancellor of John Moores University. Although now that his band is hot stuff again, apparently he's going to be spending some time touring with Adam Lambert and the band, instead of studying the universe. Damn, knowing there really are hard-rocking scientists in this world does make me feel better about life.

You know who else?
This guy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Cox_(physicist)
Brian Edward Cox OBE, FRS (born 3 March 1968) is an English physicist who serves as professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester.[2][3] He is best known to the public as the presenter of science programmes, especially the Wonders of... series[4][5] and for popular science books, such as Why Does E=mc²? and The Quantum Universe. He has been the author or co-author of over 950 scientific publications.

Although not quite as hard rockin':
In the 1980s and early 90s, Cox was a keyboard player with the rock band Dare.[18] Dare released two albums with Cox – Out of the Silence in 1988 and Blood from Stone in 1991. He joined D:Ream,[19] a group that had several hits in the UK charts, including the number one "Things Can Only Get Better"

Keyboards and guitar, that's half a band...

Every member of Queen earned at least a Bachelor’s degree, making them easily the best-educated stadium band in history.

reply

With two advanced degrees - because bassist John Deacon got a masters' in engineering before the band hit it big!

No other band can contend, much less stadium bands! I mean, what have other other bands got, Mick Jagger went to the London School of Economics for five minutes?

reply

Thank you, Otter. I did not know about Deacon’s engineering degree. Please don’t let anyone know that I’m not really perfect😂

reply

wows I did not know that.
Freddie had a degree?

I heard "Bad Religion" were quite well educated , but i doubt its to that level.
