slimy fish then goes straight to the dinner table to eat without washing his hands? Good parenting there fictional parents. Every time I see that scene I want to yell "Go wash your hands before eating!!" Lol

No, that's called "sashimi", which is rare to find outside of Japan and even once it's been cleaned and prepared can still make people ill because of bacteria and parasites. You wouldn't want to touch any mucky fish without washing your hands afterwards.
