I really do hope this is everything, not just a box set of the TV movie, seasons one and two, the four seasons compilation DVD's -comprising of the spring follies, summer escapades, autumn antics and winter tales discs, and the "a tale of two toads" disc, which makes 10 discs without trying.

I can't find any specs for the release anywhere, but fingers crossed its finally all going to be released!

I just ordered it and paid the extra shipping so hopefully it will be here by the weekend. It claims to be all 65 episodes plus the movies on 11 dvds.
I'll post as soon as I get it.

Hey there Church, you have nothing to fear. I took a chance before and solid details were out there. Rest assured, it is everything ever broadcast! Joy!

Yes, they just got here and it's incredible. I've been looking for episodes for years. When Time-Life UK sold a series of collections I signed up and had them delivered to a friend in England who then mailed them to me. I had to buy a universal dvd player to watch them. Lately I bought two videocassettes from Amazon.uk and had to convert them with a borrowed PAL vcr and converter.

But now I have them all. I feel rich!

Damn Church, sounds like you had to go through the hoops like me!

I started off years ago - like 20 years ago! First off, the VHS tapes of the four season collections, tale of two toads etc. Then the A&E releases, which as we know stalled!

Very happy for you, I know how you feel - such a great set. I just wish there were more supplements, but I'm not gonna complain!

How's this for timing? Our upconverting dvd player died, the second one in less than a year, so I decided to move up and buy a fairly expensive Oppo dvd player. I don't mind scrimping for work equipment but not on something that ruins our Saturday nights.
Then I saw the ad on amazon.uk for the Wind in the Willows collection. I knew it was PAL and region 2 so I figured I'd have to pull each disk into my computer and convert them.
The Oppo and the Willows set arrived the same day, both waiting for me when I got home from work. Only it turns out the Oppo is a universal player and plays the willow dvds as is. And with the upconverting the quality has to be seen to be believed. Sharp and clear on a 32" screen.

Man oh man, now if only all things in life could go so smoothly! Great stuff!
As for upconversion of image, my brother just got his first Blu-Ray, a Pioneer I believe - I forget the model no.! But...OH. MY. GOD.

When I can get the dough together, I'm going Blu, it's as simple as that!

Is there any word if they are releasing it in North America?
I hope so!

By the way, I ordered mine from the UK Amazon site. It has more information and has it in stock.

I usually convert mine on my PC. I have never been happy with the quality I've gotten. Seems like a lot of anti-aliasing problems. Am I doing something wrong?

Anyway, I may be going for a OPPO sometime as well so I can watch whatever I want. My Panasonic BD player won't play have the stuff I throw at it that isn't R1.
