I remember this but I shouldn't

I was born in 1982 and if these were shown in 1984 and 1985 then I really shouldn't remember anything about them but I do seem to remember some of this mainly the tripods trampling around

Does anyone have details of when/if these series were repeated on television otherwise I'll start to think i was scarred early in life by the Tripods

I don't remember what year we got it here in the states, just that we got a handful of episodes then when I tuned in the next week, it was gone. But I see it's on DVD, so I will have to remember to hunt it down one day. Loved it, and it freaked me out every time they showed that triangle on the person's head. don't know why, but it did.

We got it in 1984 and 1985 for the first time. They did show them in 1987 on another PBS station that I didn't get very clearly but there was no mention of the third book coming out.

I don't think you are an isolated case. The first review states a similar experience. I also share the burned in memory of these things, and I was born late 1981

Both series have never been aired again on terrestrial British tv since their initial broadcast - which is a shame!
