Is Halloween Candy just a remake of Trick Or Treat?

Hello, haven't seen either and I wanted to know if it would be good to watch with some friends on Halloween night? Are they essentially the same episode? Which is scarier?

I notice on Wikipedia that it says George Romero wrote Trick or Treat and Halloween Candy was written by Michael McDowell, further adding to the confusion. I mean if they're the same shouldn't they share some writing credits?

Which would you show at a Halloween get-together?

Halloween Candy is not a remake of Trick or Treat. They are both good halloween episodes from the show but Trick or Treat is more kiddy-both have their dark moments though. I wish Halloween fell tonight and I'd watch an all night marathon of stuff starting with these two episodes and some stuff from "Tales from the Crypt" and "Friday the 13th the series" then put on Halloween III for the finale.
