A Total Of 116 Out Of 136 Episodes & Specials! Anyone here who can beat that?

What season was it when Blondeman was introduced? It was also the one where Hesaltine sings GOODBYE to Thatcher and GO NOW

reply

Think it was series 11 or series 12. Even though last time I watched that episode was about 2 years ago.

reply

I believe I already cleared up that little mess

'Yo. Like I said before, it's all about the evolution of the POKEMON!'

reply

I think it turned to be 11, not 10 as you might have thought. Common mistake to make once I called my friend Joe Jul EMBARRASSING OR WHAT!

'Yo. Like I said before, it's all about the evolution of the POKEMON!'

Blondeman shows up in season 7 and he sings go now to Maggie in season 8. Just recently watched the boxed set. I knew there was more than 8 series. I got the boxed set and it's all with Maggie from 1-8. I remember Major as an android and then they just did him Grey so he looked like Al Lewis from the Munsters. I remember a series of sketches of John and Norma eating peas. Was looking for my fave sketch when the royals are evicted for not paying their poll tax and that was not in the first 8 seasons. Still the 1st 8 seasons were the best 'cos of Maggie. The show suffered a little bit when Maggie retired from office.

reply

The sketch with the royals being evicted was in the Spring 1991 series (or Series 10 as it would have been called had Network released it). I think anyone who wants to see the rest of the shows released on DVD should e-mail Network.

All of the series except Series 14 (Autumn 1991) and the first three episodes of Series 17 (Spring 1993).

Of the specials I've seen Down And Out in the White House (saw it on TV, haven't got a recording of it or seen it since unfortunately), Movie Awards, Election Specials from 1987 and 1992, 1987 Christmas Special, The Ronnie & Nancy show (on Youtube), the Life & Times of Ronald Regan, Sound of Maggie, Pantomime, Ye Olde Spitting Image.

By the way, there was also a series called "Spitting Back" in 1993. It showed highlights from Spitting Image Series 14 and 15. Didn't see all of these but one of the ones I saw at least had some clips from Series 14. There are newly-recorded bits in Spitting Back where the Queen (accompanied by a different member of her household in each episode) appears every now and again to introduce the clips.

Do you have Series 14 and 17 on video or DVD? Would it be possible to copy them? I was hoping Network would release all the Spitting Image series but they seemed to have stopped at Series 11 (or Series 8 as they confusingly called it).
