does anyone remember this character?

i used to watch another world back in the 80's and early 90's. then i remember my grandmother watching santa barbara and there was a character who worked for a rich guy, who seemed sneaky (perhaps listening in on conversations), and i think may have killed someone. it was a long time ago but he became my favorite character on tv. he was a really tough guy and not one to mess with. i think he went to prison or got killed. anyone know who it might be?

i've thought about him off and on for 20 years lol. as soon as i seen him i got hooked on the show. santa barbara became my favorite show and i wish i could remember this guys name. thanks

There was a storyline about the four orphans that came back to SB to get revenge on the Capwells: Craig Hunt, Stephen Slade, Ethan Asher and Derek Griffin (aka the romance novel name dudes). One of those may be your man, or perhaps Robert Barr/Quinn Armitage. Just writing those names out reminds me of how sexy and fun this show was. I really miss it.
