Punky Halloween Special

Does anybody remember the Halloween special??
All I remember was that I think Punky's gang was in some sort of cave and one of her friends had turned into a giant spider...Wish I could remember more!!!
This gave me more than one nightmare!!

Wow! You guys just dusted off some cobwebs back there. I remembered the episode as soon as I saw this post. I remember that episode scared me so much when I was a kid, I didnt even like to watch it. Thanks for making me remember!

I vaguely remember that cave, and the other kids calling Punky's name in some evil voices. That totally spooked me out as a kid.

reply

It freaked me out too. I think I had nightmares the next few days.

'The perils or Punky,' season two episodes 6 and 7. Not a really Halloween special though as it takes place during a camping trip. I have a friend who is still scared of Alan coming out of the wall at the end of the second half.

"Living our maggot lives, dreaming of becomming flies."

its funny, when i watched that episode i had to be about 4 or 5 years old, and i remember being seriously, petrified of that episode...i thought it was so scary... it cracks me up because its a G rated show...sometimes i forget how young i was once!! thanks for the flashback.

David W. Duclon does the voice of the evil spirit. Man, did he do an awesome job with it.

This episode was one of the few things that really scared me on TV. Nightmares aplenty. I remember the cave and some weird faces on the screen, and being scared green. That's about all I remember. Interesting to see it scared a few others the same way; it wasn't exactly subtle. You all probably agree that there was some unusually freaky stuff back then on TV that wasn't suited for children. (Twilight Zone !!!)

Wow, I was coming to this board just to see if anyone posted on this! I remember that cave (I was 5 or something) and that was literally the last episode of Punky Brewster I have ever seen. No joke.

I thought the Halloween special was "Love Thy Neighbor" from Season 2.

In that ep, the gang, Henry, and Mike dress up. They trick or treat, and help an elderly lady to love children again.

I just watched that episode yesterday, but even if I hadn't, I would still remember it! That episode gave me so many nightmares when I was little. I hated it and loved it at the same time. I remember cheering when Punky defeated the evil spirit, then being shocked when Princess Moon appeared at the end when they all leave the cave, showing that it was all real.

Even now when I watch it, I remember how I felt when I first watched it, and I can't help but be scared, even though I know what's going to happen. Alan and Margoux's face are soo scary, no wonder I had nightmares!

This wasn't really a halloween episode though, it was just scary.

The halloween episode is called Love They Neighbor and introduces Mrs. Peevey, a lady whom the kids believe is a witch. That's another good episode too. I love TK Carter, and I love any episode he's in.

I always thought the cave episode was just a scary 2 parter. But it was never meant to be a Halloween ep.

"Love Thy Neighbor" was the Halloween Ep.

Only 3 Christmas eps. come to my mind:

"Christmas Shoplifting" from Season 2

"Yes Punky, There Is A Santa Clause" from Season 1

and finaly

"Christmas Hero" from Season 4

lol I remember that episode. I too remember how scared I was of it as a kid. All I can remember is a dark cave, a giant spider & something weird distorting Margaux's face lol
